Some questions about Carberry

Postby Raspicli » Thu Mar 17, 2016 4:04 pm

Hello,

I'm very interested by the Carberry, before buy it I have some questions :

1) Have we a connector between Carberry and the OBD port when we bought a Carberry?
2)If not I have to create my own connector, isn't it? (I have a Clio 3 phase 2)
3) Can Carberry replace an OBD diagnostic in a workshop? Can we send write commands such as remove errors?

Thanks for your answers ;)

(I'm a French student, sorry for the mistakes :mrgreen:)

Bonjour,

meilleures salutations.

Thanks you for your answer !

I have other question about the connections. I look at the obd port of my Clio and here is the port :

So if I understood sketchs of the main connector and of Renault OBD Connections :

I have to connect :
(OBD port // Main connector)
5 with 2
6 with 10
14 with 11
16 with 1

1) In this case what about 12 and 13 (of the obd port)? In the picture we can see that there are two signals (little iron sheets).
2) What are the risks if I go wrong with the cables ?
3)Are some risks that the car turn into security mode or something like this if I don't send the good command in the CAN bus ?
4)Are some tools compatible such as pyOBD ?

PS : I liked that you replied in French, but if you prefer you can reply in English, I will understand ! ;)

Hello,
ok, I'll write in English. :-)

So, to answer to your requests:

1) The pins 12 and 13 aren't considerable, so please don't regard them;
2) Doing correct connections, there are no risks with cables;
3) If you have to work on 01 MODE of the ODB standard, there are no risks for the car;
4) Unfortunately we have still not verified this project, if we'll do it in future, I'll inform you.

thanks, best regards.
