Touch screen

Postby WallaceTech » Wed Feb 08, 2017 1:41 am

Hi everyone.

I am just starting to look at Raspberry Pi stuff and come across Carberry. Now this is some great stuff.

I drive an Audi TT MK2, however I use an iPad mini connected to a single Din head until that is in the glove box. So with that in mind I would like to connect the Carberry up to one of them 7" Pi screens that you can buy.

Will this still work or must it be connected to the cars head unit?

Thanks in advance

My advice:
Don't use carberry. The project is dead. The support in this forum is a joke. Don't do it.

Hello,
you must have to use a display in HDMI with touchscreen by USB.
If the touchscreen isn't in USB, you can't use because the GPIO are used by Carberry!

please let me know,
at disposal, best regards.

PS. Please do not heard some bad advices: carberry is a great product and our forum is live as well as our projects :-)

Yes,
You will able to create a mediacenter without keep an iPad in your car.
You need to buy a HDMI 7inch display with USB touchscreen interface in order to connect it to Raspberry Pi. Preamplified audio output could be amplified by OEM radio like you do with your iPad.

thanks, best regards
