Carberry server on Android

Postby gkgeorgiev » Mon Oct 05, 2015 12:55 pm

I have this idea for a project with Android on my Raspberry Pi.

I know that Android is linux based ... but this doesn't guarantee that the Carberry server will run on it.

So my question is - is it possible to install Carberry on Raspberry Pi with Android OS ?

Many thanks in advance!

Hello,
no, isn't possible because Android OS isn't compatible with Raspberry Pi.
I'm sorry,

thanks,
best regards

Hi,
In theory, there are versions of Android that can run on rpi, then it is also possible to write Android applications that talk with the Carberry.
In practice, to make "real" the compatibility, you would need to develop scripts and configuration for Android at the start of the communication and shutdown services (demons) we have already developed for Linux.

Unfortunately, at the moment this compatibility is not available.
thanks and best regards.
