Post subject:  Carrberry and ther shields GPIO compatibility

Hi,
I need to connect a Raspberry3 with a Carberry 2 and a HiFiBerry Digi+

Could you help me determine if the GPIOs are compatible and if all the 3 devices will work nicely together?

This is what I found on the HiFiBerry site:
Quote:
GPIO2-3 are used by our products for configuration. If you are experienced with I2C, you might add other slave devices, if you are a novice, we don’t recommend this at all.
GPIOs 18-21 are used for the sound interface. You can’t use them for any other purpose.

I can't find the pinout scheme for Carberry 2 if it's the same of the first version the only pin overlapping is the number 3 and is indicated as "Future use".

Could you give me more info about the Carberry 2 GPIO pinout?
Thank you!

Hello,
- about the pinout: please consult this link: http://www.carberry.it/wiki/carberry:hw ... _interface
All the pins displayed are used by Carberry, the Others you can use as you want.

Also I put attached the electric diagram of our pinout.

let me know,
best regards,
at disposal.

HI folks,
I know this is an old thread but I am interested in building a head unit for my car using the Carberry. 1 major problem is the lack of digital out which is a deal breaker for me. Did this go anywhere? Is it possible to add another car to carberry evn though it seems that the pins in use overlap?

I apologize for these noob questions. I am new to raspberryPi so still trying to ramp up. I'm more of a software guy so doing linux parts is a piece of cake, it's the hardware that I am trying to figure out.

Colud you explain better what do you mean with “lack of digital out”?

Google's Android operating system seems like a great fit for the Raspberry Pi. ... But you don't need to wait for Google to develop the official version of Android. It's already possible to install, and run, Android apps on your Raspberry Pi with RTAndroid. VidMate
